Trying to make your granite shine? Discover whether or not it's safe to use bleach to clean and disinfect your granite countertops.
Question
Is Clorox® Disinfecting Bleach safe to use on my granite countertops?
Answer
Yes, Clorox® Disinfecting Bleach is safe for sealed granite countertops. Remember, bleach should never be used full strength for cleaning any surface — it should always be diluted with water first. For disinfecting countertops, use a solution of ⅓ cup Clorox® Disinfecting Bleach per gallon of water. Apply the bleach solution and let stand for 6 minutes. Rinse thoroughly, and allow to air dry.
