How to Remove Coke, Soft Drink, and Soda Stains From Clothes
Colas are delicious but can leave soda stains. Follow our soft drink stain remover tips to learn how to get coke and soda stains out of clothes and fabric.
Laundry
Blot
Fizz thing’s first. Blot away excess soda.
Rinse
Rinse out the stain with cold water from the back.
Pre-Treat and Wash Bleach-Safe Whites
To dilute bleach for pretreating, use a ratio of ¼ cup Clorox® Disinfecting Bleach added to ¾ cup water. Apply the bleach and water solution to the stain and then immediately machine wash the item using detergent and ⅓ cup Clorox® Disinfecting Bleach.
Pre-Treat and Wash Colors
Pre-treat colors with Clorox 2® for Colors Stain Remover and Laundry Additive. Wait 10 minutes then machine wash in the hottest water allowed using detergent and more Clorox 2® for Colors Stain Remover and Laundry Additive.
Air Dry
Keep the item out of a hot dryer. Instead, let it air dry and check for success.
Most soda stains can be treated with just a blot and rinse if you get to it quickly.

Wipe
Wipe surface clean with Clorox® Disinfecting Wipes.
Dry
Let air-dry.
