What you need

Steps to clean and disinfect rubber rain boots and shoes

  1. Pull a wipe from the canister

If you have a new canister, reach into the center of the roll of wipes and carefully pull a wipe out of the middle. Thread it through the opening at the top of the canister and then give it a tug to release the wipe from the canister.

    Tip

Close the lid firmly after dispensing a wipe.

  2. Wipe the boots

Working with one boot at a time, start at the top and wipe the surface with a Clorox® Disinfecting Wipe. Swap a dirty wipe for a new clean one as needed as you work toward the heel.

  3. Sanitize or disinfect

After the exterior of the boots are clean, continue wiping with enough additional wipes to keep the surface wet for 10 seconds to sanitize, or 4 minutes to disinfect, depending on your germ-kill needs.

  4. Air dry

Once the dwell time for sanitizing or disinfecting is complete, rubber rain boots or shoes can air dry.

Do not use on leather boots, including leather boots treated with a water protective finish.
