How to Get Rid of Mold in Toilet & Prevent It
Regularly cleaning the toilet bowl with products that include sodium hypochlorite helps solve mold problems in the toilet. Toilet bowl cleaners that contain bleach make this convenient and easy to do.
Mold in the toilet bowl doesn’t have to be a problem if you clean the toilet bowl regularly with products that contain sodium hypochlorite bleach like Clorox® Toilet Bowl Cleaner-with Bleach and Clorox® Toilet Bowl Cleaner-Clinging Bleach Gel. Additionally, keeping the humidity level low in the bathroom will also help prevent mold growth on an ongoing basis, but you still have to clean the toilet regularly!
If mold in the toilet tank is a problem, do not use toilet bowl cleaners, which are designed only for use in the toilet bowl. Instead, you can use a bleach and water solution made with Clorox® Disinfecting Bleach to clean mold in a toilet tank following the procedures described here.
